One ot the best known light aircraft ever produced, the J-3 cub was developed by the piper aircraft company and produced between 1937-47. Built with tandem seating, it is one of the models of simplicity.

A popular trainer in the preworld 2 era, the aircraft was outfitted with numerous different engines. Over 19,000 were produced, and many are still in service today. Most J-3 cubs can be distinguished from later piper cubs by the open cowl around the cylinder heads.

The varients of Cubs include a range of 40 -65 hp continental and lycoming engines.
